Memory Support Center
This cutting edge program offers therapeutic activities throughout the day to provide opportunities for residents with memory loss to use their existing strengths. This also encourages socialization and connection with others in a meaningful way. Staff is specially trained to work with the residents of this 23 bed unit.
Exercise Program
Our Quality of Life program is an Exercise Physiology-based Wellness Program designed to enhance the functional ability of those who chose to participate. It is our belief that exercise has a number of vital benefits in the aging population. Defined as “Balance, Exercise, Strength and Training”, our comprehensive program encourages our residents to stay active and healthy. Lead by a trained Exercise Technician, classes are offered Monday through Friday three times daily. Each class consists of stretching, light weight training, light cardiovascular training and an individual workout, whether walking or exercising with machines.
“All parts of the body which have a function, if used in moderation and exercised in labors to which each is accustomed, become healthy and well developed and age slowly. But if unused and left idle, they become liable to disease, defective in growth and age quickly.”
